Rotors require replacement slightly less often than pads. The main symptom of rotors wear is the vibration of the brake pedal, and sometimes the steering wheel at the time of braking.

When replacing brake pads or rotors, it is recommended to immediately inspect the brake calipers and pistons. These will prevent brake caliper jamming, for example. As a result, the wheel may seize or the braking force may be uneven, causing the vehicle to pull to the side when braking.

Rear brakes maintenance is a bit different then the front ones. Usually, the rear ones are connected to the hand brake.

The brakes in modern passenger cars are hydraulic, and their correct operation depends on the correct transmission of force from the master brake cylinder through the brake hose or tube to the brake calipers.

In fact, it is the master brake cylinder that ensures the pressure increase in the system when the brakes are applied and the car stops. Its regular inspection, as well as timely replacement, is absolutely essential for the safe use of the car.

Equally important is the tube system that transmits power from the brake master cylinder to the calipers. If there is no pressure in the system then the master brake cylinder is faulty and the force is not applied to the brake pads.
